Printable Gingerbread Figure for Take-Home Project

    from Kathleen Carpenter

Students and families have a lot of fun with this extension of classroom Gingerbread theme stories and activities. Simply print out, add the due date and duplicate on cardstock or oaktag, and send home. When children return the decorated figures, they can be displayed on a wall, perhaps surrounding a depiction of a gingerbread house.

Kindergarten Predictable Text Christmas Vocabulary Enrichment Book

    from Mary Miehl

In addition to reinforcing directional behaviors used during reading and one to one word matching, this book helps students become familiar with the names of several items heard during the Christmas Season through the support of the pictures and teacher guidance.

The names of the students can be printed on "the list" on page 19 giving the students an opportunity to locate their own names and the names of their classmates in print.

Notes: This book is formatted to be printed back to back in landscape orientation and bound on the left with staples or the method of your choice.

If the students choose to color the pictures, they should do so with crayons due to the bleed-through of markers.
