Creating Courses Online

From: Christina Wong, TELEStraining Inc.

An advanced Certificate in Web-Based Instruction (CWI) will be offered entirely online beginning January 13, 2003 by the Learning & Instructional Development Centre of the Simon Fraser University (www.sfu.ca) and TELEStraining Inc. (www.telestraining.com) It is aimed at teachers, instructors, and trainers who would like to transfer their classroom teaching skills and materials to the Web and learn to design, produce, and teach successful online courses. The program combines the teaching of both conceptual and technical skills for a period of twelve weeks. Participants create their own online courses and deploy them to a delivery platform of choice.
